blog post 10 Reflection on Assignment 5: PowerPoint Interaction In completing Assignment 5, I acquired new skills in creating interactive content using PowerPoint, specifically in designing a hyperlinked jeopardy game for a Harry Potter-themed activity. I learned how to incorporate buttons, hyperlinks, and action settings to create a dynamic, interactive experience for students. One challenge I encountered was the confusion between PowerPoint’s desktop and regular versions, which had similar names but different features. Next time, I will explore these features more thoroughly to avoid issues and ensure smoother functionality for interactive elements. Using Data Collection Tools as a Teacher I envision gathering information on student involvement and comprehension using Qualtrics and similar tools as a future middle school English teacher. For instance, after reading a novel, I may make surveys to gauge how well students comprehend literary themes or character development. I could...
blog 9   During my K–12 distance learning experiences, I used tools like Zoom, Google Classroom, and Microsoft Teams. With capabilities like screen sharing, breakout spaces, and collaborative documents that promoted connection and participation, these technologies offered crucial resources for distance learning. While Zoom's breakout rooms allowed for small group conversations that resembled in-person classes, Google Classroom was especially useful for assigning assignments and providing feedback. But even with these resources, it was difficult to stay focused and engaged in a completely virtual setting, particularly when there was little opportunity for in-person interaction. Although I haven't used them, I'd like to test interactive learning platforms like Flipgrid and Kahoot! since they seem to promote student participation and could make online learning more enjoyable and engaging. blog 8   alyssa22x.weebly.com this is my website name, online QR codes cost money so i couldn’t make one.  I learned a lot about how to make a user-friendly website while working on the Web Design assignment for my fourth-grade science teacher website. I arranged the calendar, pictures, and links in a tidy manner using design concepts like alignment. To make it easier for parents and children to notice what's coming up, I, for instance, introduced a vivid calendar to highlight significant dates and events. To make the website more interesting, I also added images that dealt with science-related subjects. Although I had fun creating the style, I initially had trouble getting the links to function properly. All things considered, this experience taught me how to create informative and aesthetically pleasing website skills that will be helpful in my future work, particularly in the digital or educational fields. Making a multi-subject scavenger hunt is an inventive method to empl...
